The Titan Tropic Cuba By GAES
The second edition of the Titan Tropic Cuba by GAES consolidates a scenario in which the challenge and overcoming the physical and mental demands configure an unforgettable life experience, an adventure that transcends the strictly sporting.
The Titan Tropic Cuba by GAES is an adventure that continues to grow with the aim of becoming a world leader in the multi stage mountain bike races. With the development of a prologue and five stages that lead participants to the wonderful city of Havana to the paradisiacal beach of Cayo Jutías. Crossing the provinces of Havana, Artemisa and Pinar del Rio with a distance of over 450 kilometers. Bikers will discover a variety of tropical landscapes flowing through wide slopes, winding roads and narrow paths.
The western part of the island of Cuba welcomes areas of great natural beauty. The flora and fauna are lush. The mountain formations are unique and surprising, and even though the highest levels barely exceed 700 meters above sea level, in contrast with the broad meadows and evergreen crop fields. They are undoubtedly idyllic scenarios for the adventure. Emotions that participants of this second edition will never forget.
The prologue stage will cover the most emblematic streets of the city of Havana through the most representative places of the city. The competition will begin the day after with the development of the first stage that will take cyclists from Havana to Soroa, in the mountains of Guaniaguanico near the Castle of the Clouds. The second stage will be a loop in Soroa characterized with a climb to the castle and turn around in a wetland area. The third stage will leave towards Viñales to Soroa on a long journey that will cross the Guira National Park to a camp located at Rancho San Vicente close to the Mogotes (isolated steep-sided residual hills). Passed the half point of the race, the fourth stage is again a loop in Viñales, which will visit the most emblematic places in the area, which have been acknowledged as a Natural Heritage from the Unesco and for being one of the most difficult stages by its tracing. Finally, in the last stage the bikers move to Cayo Jutías, with a finish line that nobody will ever forget.
